Wesley Jones, LCSW
I am a therapist with over 23 years of experience working with children, teens, and families. There are many challenges that arise in a person’s life, and oftentimes counseling can help a person to navigate those challenges in a healthy and productive way. I believe that with the proper support and guidance I can help my clients work toward behaviors and insights that will give them the tools to live the lives they want to live.
My specialties include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, divorce, phase of life issues, and the development of coping skills. I also have extensive experience working with adolescents in the areas of impulse control, behavioral issues, school anxiety/avoidance, failure to launch, stress management, trouble sleeping, and executive functioning deficits.
I offer private and confidential, individual and family therapy sessions that help develop personal accountability and goal-setting. I work with each client to develop individualized strategies that work for them, their families, and their lives. My treatment approach is a blend of humanistic and reality theory.
"It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any." —Hugh Laurie
